Want some advice on setting up a newsletter, but there seems to be about a million companies offering both scripts and services.

Has anyone got any recommendations or tips on who to go with, and should I go for script or service based

It will be quite a small newsletter... I dont expect more than 1k registrations in first year, but would like the scope their to expand should I need to without too much hassle.

My budget is upto $100 for a script, or $10 p/m for service (one or the other, cant afford both if service provider has setup fees).

I have been using Constant Contact for about a year now, and have been very happy with the service. You can try them out for free upto 50 registrations.

They are slightly over your budget after that though, and since you are not planning on a huge list perhaps a script would be better for you. I dont know much about them, you should check with your host that they dont mind you sending newsletters though.

Although I havent used them, I have heard good things about Constant Contact.

It is quite expensive though considering you could just install a script for a one off cost.

I used constant contact and it's great I just suck it up and use them! you won't have a problem!
